3 weeks until the ride starts & everything is nearly ready.
The tour operator is Collis but the boss is really Kathy (the riders will learn that soon enough).
We have received most of the riders flight details & it looks like Kathy will be traveling up from Melbourne with some unsuspecting riders.
Collis, of course, has to drive up to Broome & is leaving 7/4/2011 with Rob the whip & Jerry, the CEO, in tow. Big gear Woody, is another possibility to drive up with them but he has to change his tickets to be able to do it. That should be an exciting trip- I'm glad I'm flying!!
Gayle, the chief cook, will be an new addition to our tour & she has so far tried to sneak in a pressure cooker, the biggest frypan you've ever seen, a bessemer & a bamix. Little does she know but the bamix is the only thing we will be able to fit in. There is no need for the riders to worry- we have 2 huge camp ovens, 3 frypans & 2 cookers.
I rode 20 kms today which was my target before the ride- so look out boys you will be eating my dust.
Good work on the blog Kathy. Looking forward to seeing "The Boss" awheel again. :-)
